Fragrant | Botanical | Winter Wedding

A dream wedding brief by Brisbane designer, Christina Kim, was completed in August last year.

On a Friday afternoon in the city, Christina and Asif were married in a very special ceremony conducted by Christina’s father.  Christina, the creative talent of Christina Kim looked amazing in her shimmering wedding gown, designed and made herself of course!

Christina’s request was simple – abundant foliage and fragrant white flowers.   There are so many beautiful flowers to choose from in Winter – a great time for scent, texture and interesting, wild foliage!

The palette consisted of stocks, freesia, daphne and garden roses for their delicious fragrance, and to Christina’s bouquet we added pretty ranunculus, lisianthus and white poppies.   Contrasting greens were dark and fragrant bay leaf, camellia, twisting scented jasmine, ivy and hanging amaranthus.

The reception was held at Stokehouse, where Christina and Asif celebrated with friends and family amongst tables decorated with playful and varied arrangements of the wedding palette.

The trust and enthusiasm showed by Christina in Gardenbird was very instrumental in achieving such a fabulous result.
