Erin and Sam

Erin & Sam’s dreamy wedding day began with the ceremony at the lovely Spanish Mission style church, St Anne’s, in Kalinga, Brisbane.  The reception that followed took place at Brisbane’s then-new Calile Hotel.

The big focus for the florals was inspired by a recent Vogue fashion shoot where Erin first saw the wearable flowers she fell in love with.  My challenge – to create a long, wearable stole, similar to the one Erin had seen in the fashion shoot.  It needed to be easy and practical to wear and last throughout the wedding celebrations.

There were no bouquets, instead the bridesmaids all wore their own unique wearable flowers – flower crowns, a wrist corsage and a shoulder corsage.  Tiny Baby’s Breath buttonholes for the boys.

At the Calile, we filled their own artful Anna Varendorff vases with a single stem of white Anthurium and a stem of contrasting dark green Fine Lace to create elegant tablescapes.
